There is a fractional Township (Town 53 R 42) on �
the beach side of Key Biscayne that should be resurveyed; as it
was surveyed by the Coast survey, the same as the Keys & a �
mistake was made in surveying section 5 Town 53 R 42 which when
on the beach side of that Township is surveyed I would like to �
have resurveyed, there is also in the same neighborhood Virginia
Key which should be surveyed as these are little small jobs I �
wish you would dovetail them on to Smith contract if possible if
you cannot do it please include it in the next Contract you give �

1 I most respectfully request (at the solicitation of persons who �

have settled in Township 53 S. Range 42 E. ) that the said
; Township be resurveyed; A portion of this Township situated on ( .
H the west side of Key Biscayne was surveyed in A D 1845 nearly 30
'1 years ago; & the lines are completely obliterated; The portion of �
the Township situated upon the East side of the Bay was surveyed
by the Coast survey & no signs of any survey can be found; Since
the survey the configuration of the Bay has been materially �
changed the Title to the land in that Township with the exception
` of 240 acres is in the Government , as soon as . it is properly �
surveyed most of the Township would be immediately entered.
