li Howard: I checked the Marti Beach 1921 Sanborn Map and the Miami Beach Orchards does show up. On the first page of
the maps is an index map showing all of Miami Beach with a coded guide to which page each section is located on. The Miami
Beach Orchards are shown on this map. The area labeled as the orchards falls between the following: 30th Street on the south,
Pine Tree Drive on the east, Prairie Avenue on the west and 47th Street on the north. The area was bisected by 41st Street. It is
unclear if these were the boundaries or if the orchards "spilt" out of this rectangle as indicated in the picture on page 58 of your
book. Clearly the southern boundary of the orchard had shifted north to 30th Street by the time this map was made in 1921. Page
12 of the maps show an inset of 41st and Pine Tree Drive. I will mail you copies of these pages on Monday.
