Resolution 6529 RESOLUTION NO. 6 529
WHEREAS, Bing Construction Co. , has offered to sell
and convey to the City of Miami Beach property described in
the said offer to sell which reads as follows, to-wit:
"Miami Beach, Florida,
February 17th, 1948
City Council
City of Miami Beach,
City Hall,
Miami Beach, Florida.
Gentlemen:
Reference is made to my letter addressed to you
under date of January 1948, with reference to the
sale of a portion of
Lot 18 Block 8 of First Addition to
Mid Golf Subdivision, according to
the Plat thereof recorded in Plat
Book 7 at page l61 of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida, and
being approximately 80 feet on Chase
Avenue back to Biscayne Waterway, a
distance of approximately 200 feet and
being approximately 73 feet on the
waterway.
In accordance with my proposal to Mr. Renshaw, I will
cause title to be delivered to this property for the
sum of ;20,000.00 all cash, out of which we understand-
we are obligated to pay 5% commission to the Miami Beach
Realty Board.
It is also understood that the sale is being made uron
condition that the City provide a five foot side walk
all the way from Chase Avenue to the water on the south
line of the property.

WHEREAS, it is deemed to be for the best interest of said
City to acquire said land at said price for the purpose of off-
street parking of automobiles,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that said offer be and the same is
hereby accepted.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City tanager be and
he is hereby authorized and directed, in the name of and on behalf
of said City, to purchase said property at said price upon approval
by the City Attorney.
