SUBJECT: NEW DATE FOR FOOD TRUCK & MUSIC FEST IN NORTH BEACH
The purpose of this LTC is to provide the Mayor and City Commission with an update on the
Food Truck & Music Fest event that takes place in North Beach. This event, previously
scheduled to be on the fourth Wednesday of each month, will now take place on the fourth
Thursday of each month.
Since the event's inception in 2012, the goal has been to activate and create a family oriented
atmosphere in the North Beach area. The event has since provided a place for families and
friends of Miami Beach to enjoy free, live entertainment and cuisine from all over the world.
Due to similar programming taking place on Wednesday's in neighboring cities, having food
trucks on Thursday will help it establish a stronger identity on the beach and serve as a pre -
weekend activity for residents and visitors alike.
The event series will take place on the fourth Thursday of each month from 5:00 p.m. — 10:00
p.m. beginning on Thursday, June 28. The activities during the event will include:
Participation by the food truck operators
Street performers/ entertainment on 73 Street & Ocean Terrace
Live entertainment presented in the North Beach Bandshell, provided by The Rhythm
Foundation from 6:00 p.m. — 9:00 p.m.
