Resolution 6569 RESOLUTION NO. 6569 WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, by Resolutions passed and adopted on the 8th day of January, A. D. 1948, ordered certain highway improvements and the installation of certain whiteway lighting systems which said Resolutions so passed and adopted were thereafter, on the 21st day of January, 1948, con- firmed by certain Resolutions also passed and adopted by said City Council, and WHEREAS, the financing of the cost of such improvements was, in the greater part, to be accomplished with the proceeds of negotiable coupon bonds to be issued by said City, and WHEREAS, said proposed bond issues were submitted to a vote of the freeholders on April 20th, 1948, and WHEREAS, a majority of the qualified freeholders failed to par- ticipate in said election and thereby failed to comply with the pro- visions of the Constitution of the State of Florida, and WHEREAS, said proposed improvements must be abandoned, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the said Resolutions Numbered from 6448 to 6452, both inclusive, and from46454 to 6470, both inclusive, passed and adopted on January 8th, 1948, and Resolutions Numbered 6472 to 6493 both inclusive, passed and adopted on the 21st day of January, 1948, be and the same are hereby rescinded and repealed. PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of May, A. D. 1948.
