Resolution 6611 RESOLUTION NO. 6611
WHEREAS, S. J. Halperin, as agent has offered to sell
and convey to the City of Beach for the cash sum of
17, 500.00 net to the owner, the following described land situate,
lying and being in the City of Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida,
to-wit:
A portion of Block Eighteen (18) of BISCAYNE
POINT, and a portion of Lot One (1) of Block
Twenty (20) of First Addition to BISCAYNE POI: T,
more particularly described as being approxi-
mately 155 feet on the canal and approximately
155 feet on Hawthorne Avenue, in the City of
Miami Beach, Florida, saidland being bounded
on the South by 81st Street andon the East
by Hawthorne Avenue,
subject only to conditions, restrictions and limitations of record;
zoning ordinances of the City of 1 iami Beach, Florida; and taxes
for the year 1948 which are to be pro-rated as of the date of closing,
and payment by the City of a commission in the amount of :, 375.00.
WHEREAS, it is deemed to be for the best interest of said
City to acquire said land at said price and on said terms for muni-
cipal purposes.
N0J THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV T) by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that said offer be and the same is
hereby accepted.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is
hereby authorized and directed, in the name of and on behalf of said
City, to purchase said property at said price and terms, upon ap-
proval of the title by the City Attorney.
