RESOLUTION NO. 6690
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach deems
it to be to the best interest of the citizens of Miami Beach that
further development and expansion of transportation facilities to
and from this City be encouraged, and
WHEREAS, the increased use of air transportation has made that
type of travel facility an important factor in the economic develop-
ment and welfare of this community, ana
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised that Delta Air
Lines is contemplating an agreement with American Air Lines for
through airplane service from California to Miami, to be operated
jointly by Delta and American Air Lines,
NM, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Council approve the contemplated
arrangement in principle.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution be trans-
mitted by the City Clerk to the interested parties and authorities
concerned.
