Resolution 6424 RESOLUTION NO. 6424 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, APPOINTING AND DESIGNATING CLERKS AND INSPECTORS FOR THE ELECTION TO BE HELD ON DECEMBER 23, 1947. WHEREAS, for the purpose of holding and conducting the Special Municipal Election to be held on December 23, 1947, the City has been divided into eight voting precincts or election districts, numbered 25 to 32, inclusive, the boundaries of said precincts or districts having been officially described in Resolution No. 6419 as passed and adopted by the City Council on November 19, 1947, and WHEREAS, official notice of said election is being published pursuant to the provisions of Resolution No. 6419, passed and adopted by the City Council on November 19, 191+7, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That for the purpose of holding and conducting the said Special Municipal Election on December 23, 1947, eight election boards be provided, the registration books of said City be divided into eight parts corresponding to the voting precincts or election districts as heretofore designated, and that for said purpo$e Clerks and Inspectors be and they are hereby appointed and designated as follows: PRECINCT NO. 25: Clerk: VAUGHN T. BORNET Inspectors: LOUISE HANCOCK CHARLOTTE E AUDETTE CHARLES F. DELLEA PRECINCT NO. 26: Clerk: ROBERT L. APPLEGET Inspectors: R. L. ELLIS CLAIRE D. LAMOUREUX FLORENCE H. ROBERTS PRECINCT NO. 27: Clerk: HUGH S. LARRICK Inspectors: JACK COOPERSMITH SARAH E. WHALTON JOHN WM. COOPER, JR. PRECINCT NO. 28: Clerk: W. M. FISKE ADAMS Inspectors: G. R. SHORT ROBT. H. POWELL ROSE JONES PRECINCT NO. 29: Clerk: MAX J. EANETT Inspectors: JULIUS NATHANSON ELSIE WELCH FLETCHER M. LOCKE 1 .. PRECINCT NO. 30: Clerk: JOHN H. DRESBACH Inspectors: LAURA R. WALLIS DAVID STARK RAY MARKS PRECINCT NO. 31: Clerk: GLENN S. POLK Inspectors: EFFIE L. HOOPER ROSE ZOLLER KATHRYN KELSEY PRECINCT NO, 32: Clerk: DAVID GOLDSTEIN Inspectors: M. B. ROBBINS ETHEL LIPOWSKY EDITH WEINSTEIN all of which above names, the City Clerk shall certify to the Mayor. That Frank Lewis, be and he is hereby appointed, custodian of the voting machines to be used in this election. SECTION 2: That notice of the foregoing appointments be given by publishing in the Miami Beach Sun and Miami Beach Daily Tropics, a newspaper published in the City of Miami Beach, Florida, at least fifteen days before the day of the holding of said election.
