Resolution 6431 RESOLUTION NO. 6431
WHEREAS, Attorney L. J. Cushman, being duly authorized
by the City of Miami Beach so to do, has heretofore instituted
and carried to its conclusion, a suit against St. Francis Hos-
pital on behalf of the City of Miami Beach and the widow of
Albert Thomson, a deceased employee of said City; and
WHEREAS, said suit resulted in the recovery for said City
of the sum of •:4,349. 16, representing monies paid by said City
to the dependents oC said deceased employee under the terms of
the Workmen' s Compensation Act; and
WHEREAS, no agreement has heretofore been entered into
as to the fees to be paid said attorney for his services so
rendered to said City; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considers that it would be fair
and reasonable to pay to said attorney for his services on be-
half of said City, one-third of the amount so recovered,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that Attorney L. J. Cushman be
and he is hereby authorized to retain, as his fees, the sum of
1,x-49.72 out of the sum of •$4,349.16 recovered for said Ctty..
as aforesaid.
