Resolution 6786 RESOLUTION NO. 6786
WHEREAS, by authority of Resolution No. 6577 heretofore
adopted by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
condemnation proceedings were instituted for the taking of the fee
simple title to the following described land situate in Miami Beach,
Dade County, Florida, to-wit:
That certain parcel of land bounded on the north
by the northerly line of Seventeenth Street, as
said street is now constituted, which said line
is the southerly line of Lot 1, Block 28, herein-
after mentioned, produced easterly to the highwater
mark of the Atlantic Ocean; bounded on the East
by the highwater mark of the Atlantic Ocean; bounded
on the South by the south line of Seventeenth Street,
as said street is now constituted, which said line is
the northerly line of Lot 10, Block 29, hereinafter
mentioned, produced easterly to said highwater mark
of the Atlantic Ocean; bounded on the west by a line
connecting the southeasterly corner of Lot 1 of Block
28 with the northeasterly corner of Lot 10 of Block 29
of FIS=' S FIRST SUBDIVISION of Alton Beach, as shown
on a Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book 2, at page
7'7, of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
together with all common law and statutory riparian
rights appurtenant thereto.
and
WHEREAS, on Friday, January 28, 1949 , compensation in the
total sum of $71,280.00, including reasonable attorneys' fees for the
defendants' attorneys, was awarded by verdict of the Jury,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Manager and the City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized and directed to nay into the Circuit
Court for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, in and for Dade
County, for the use of the defendants in said condemnation proceedings,
the sum of $71,280.00.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that there is hereby appropriated from
Budgetary item, "Street End Condemnation--Code 959"
the sum of $71,280.00 for the aforesaid purpose.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of February, A.D. 1949.
