Resolution 6822 RESOLUTION NO. 6822
WHLEAS, there is now pending before the Florida Railroad
and Public Utilities Commission the application of Southern Bell
Telephone and Telegraph Co. , for an increase of rates, and
WHEREAS, a large percentage of the customers of said tele-
phone company reside in the greater Miami area, and
WHEREAS, the holding of a hearing in Tallahassee, Florida,
would put to great expense and inconvenience those of said customers
who desire to be heard on the application,
NOW, THEREFORE,FORE BE IT R,SOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida that the Florida Railroad and Public
Utilities Commission be and they are hereby requested to hold the
hearing on said application in the greater Miami area.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 16th day of March, A. D. 1949.
