Resolution 6829 RESOLUTION NO. 6829
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, by Resolutions passed and adopted on the 5th day of
January, A.D. 1949, ordered the installation of certain whiteway
lighting systems , which said Zesolutions so passed and adopted
were thereafter, on the 19th day of January, A. D. 1949, con-
firmed by certain Resolutions also passed and adopted by said
City Council, and
WHEREAS, the financing of the cost of such improvements
was,' in the greater part, to be accomplished with the proceeds of
negotiable coupon bonds to be issued by said City, and
WHEREAS, said proposed bond issues were submitted to a
vote of the freeholders on March 8th, 1949, and
'1HEREAS, a majority of the qualified freeholders failed
to participate in said election and thereby failed to comply with
the provisions of the Constitution of the State of Florida, and
WHEREAS, said proposed improvements must be abandoned,
NOW, THh;R FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the said Resolutions numbered
from 6718 to 6741, both inclusive, passed and adopted on January
5th, 1919, and Resolutions Numbered 6746 to 6769, both inclusive,
passed and adopted on the 19th day of January, 1949, be and the
same are hereby rescinded and repealed.
