WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CI TY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made ; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
WW-78 Both sides of First (let) Street from Washington
Avenue to Ocean Drive, Second (?nd) Street from
Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive, Third (3rd) Street
from Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive , Fourth (4th)
Street from Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive, Seventh
(7th) Street from Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive,
Eighth (8th) Street from Washington Avenue to Ocean
Drive , Ninth ( 9th) Street from !Washington Avenue
to Ocean Drive, Tenth Street (10th) from Washington
Avenue to Ocean Drive, Eleventh (11th) Street from
Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive, Twelfth (12th)
Street from Washington Avenue to Ocean Drive,
Thirteenth (13th) Street from Washington Avenue to
Ocean Drive , Fourteenth (14th) Street from Washington
Avenue to Ocean Drive.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of
ornamental posts and lamps at approximately six
hundred (600) feet apart on each side with underground
connections for lighting.
As said Streets, Avenue and Drive are shown on Plats
recorded in Plat Book Two (2) Page Thirty-eight (38)
and Page Fifty Six (56) and Plat Book Three (3) Page
Eleven (11) of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida, and as said Washington Avenue is named and
designated in City of Miami Pesch Ordinance No. 303.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, Plans and pecifications of said improvement and an
estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of
the expenses of preliminary and. other surveys, the inspection and
superintendence of the work, the preparation of plans and speci-
fications and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and
proceedings, the preparation of bonds, interest during construction,
legal services, abstracts, etc . , and any other expenses necessary
and prover in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided
for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot
of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-78, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall
be designated as Didtrict WW-78.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 20th DAY OF April A.D. 1949
