The Miami International Boat and Sailboat Show is the greatest boat show in North Amedca. The show will be open from February :13 through :[8, 200:3. Show hours are Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; Friday - Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Additionally, the Brokerage Yacht Show is held on [ndian Creek Waterway (February 13 - 17); The Boat Show's economic 'impact far surpasses that of other boat shows held in Florida. Miami has a solid reputation as the marine industry's premier event and a long history of attracting serious buyers from around the world. Last year's Boat Show generated over $600 million in sales and had an economic impact on the City's business community of over $13 million. These increased revenues are very important to the City's continued financial health. The Boat Show adds increased traffic and parking demands and the City appreciates the public's patience during this period. Coupons are available for Miami Beach residents at Miami Beach City Hall's [nformation Desk, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Visit the Boat Show and join in the excitement. The Show will host a series of sunset events and many special activities throughout the show hours to attract and entertain visitors. Due to increased traffic and scarce parking availability, the City of Miami Beach Parking Department is offering a park and ride program. Flat parking rates will vary between $2 and $10 contingent upon proximity to the event. Pedestrian hotel guests ride for free excluding Electrowave shuttle 'use which costs $.25 (see list). SERVICE TO TH-~-MIAMI BEACH ~-~NVENTION CENTER, MIAMI INTERNATIONAL BOAT SHOW AND YACHT & BROKERAGE SHOW To provide a safe and pleasant visit to the City of Miami Beach, we encourage you to the use the free continuous shuttle service that is available to all hotel guests and remote parkers. The Boat Show's Shuttle service will be available for all Boat Show days: Thursday, February 13th through Tuesday, February 18th. There are 16 (sixteen) convenient stops along Collins Avenue providing continuous shuffle service to both the Miami International Boat Show at the Miami Beach Convention Center, and the Yacht & Brokerage Show along the Indian Creek/Collins Avenue waterway. Please refer to the map on the reverse side for shuttle stops. The shuttle will operate one hour prior and one hour after Boat Show hours for that day. The newly renovated City of Miami Beach 42nd Street Garage, (see map), will be available for parking and shuttle service to the Convention Center, February 15-17, 2003. Convention Center Drive and Dade Boulevard 2. 17th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue 3. 17th Street and Drexel Avenue 4. 17th Street and Washington Court 5. Roving officer covering 17th Street fi.om Jefferson Avenue to Washington Avenue. This officer is responsible for ensuring no trucks will stop or park on 17th Street. Show Days During show days, the Boat Show will provide officers to assist with bus movement and traffic at the following locations: 2. 3. 4. Two officers located on Washington Avenue between 20th Street and 19th Street. Two o-ffi-cers located on Meridian Avenue betw-~en 17th Street and 19th Street. One officer will be roving and will be available to assist with any major traffic issues. In addition to these officers, the City of Miami Beach will provide traffic support at the following locations: · There will be a total of three officers working the area of 17th Street and Convention Center Drive · One officer will work the traffic light at 17th Street and Meridian Avenue · One officer will work the traffic light at Dade Boulevard and Convention Center Drive · One officer will work the traffic light at Dade Boulevard and Meridian Avenue · One officer will be assigned relief in order to ensure continuous presence at the above locations In addition to the aforementioned officers and locations, the Patrol Division will monitor any other significant areas of concern that may arise during the Boat Show.
