RESOLUTION HONORING
MR. DAVID J. CLEARY, CHIEF ACCOUNTANT
WHEREAS, we have observed in our Annual Financial
Report for the fiscal year ending September 30th, l948, pre-
pared by our Chief Accountant, David J. Cleary, a very
masterful, comprehensive and yet readily understandable work,
of which we are very proud; and
WHEREAS, this report has received numerous laudatory
letters and favorable comments from municipal finance offi-
cers, municipal investment brokers and others, from all over
the country, including a professor of Municipal Research in
one of our outstanding universities;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby publicly
commend and pay tribute to our very capable Chief Accountant,
David J. Cleary, for faithful attention to his duties, his
eager foresight and industry in keeping abreast of the most
recent innovations and developments in his chosen profession
of municipal accounting, and for this outstanding annual
report of our City' s affairs, which is bringing to us such
favorable comment and publicity.
PASSED and UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED on this the 4th day of
May, A. D. 1949.
