SUBJECT: Correction of the City of Miami Beach Affordable Housing Program Waitlist Website
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to advise you that the City will extend the submission deadline of
its affordable housing waitlist for studio apartments and one-bedroom units. The weblink provided for online
registration to the City's affordable housing waitlist is encountering errors when accessed by outside servers.
As a result, we have worked with the City's Information Technology Department (IT) to create an alternate site
that can be accessed by all.
Applications will be accepted June 25, 2018 at 9:00 am until July 6, 2018 at 5:00 pm to ensure this information
is widely spread. On Thursday, June 28, the new link: https://secure.miamibeachfl.qov/housinq/ will be
advertised in The Miami Herald and EI Nuevo Herald.
HCS will assist all households interested in applying, including those households requesting special
accommodations. Because we have extended the application time period, we have moved the date for the public
lottery drawing to August 1, 2018 at 11:00 am in the Commission Chambers and IT will assist with the public
lottery drawing.
