WATERFRONT IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is
hereby ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth
its intention to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City
Charter:
BH-9 INDIAN CREEK: A waterway in said city to be
improved with a steel sheet piling bulkhead
located as follows:
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot
Eleven (11) , Block Three (3) , of the Second
Ocean Front Subdivision, according to the Amended
Plat thereof; thence westerly along the southerly
line of said Lot Eleven (il) , produced westerly
for a distance of twenty (20) feet;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a
point on the northerly line of Lot Fifteen (15) ,
said Block Three (3) produced westerly, said
point being thirty-one (31 ) feet westerly of
the northwesterly corner of said Lot Fifteen ( 15) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a
point on the northerly line of Lot Sixteen
(16) , said Block Three (3) , produced westerly,
said point being thirty-one (31) feet westerly
of the northwesterly corner of said Lot Sixteen
(16) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a
Point on the northerly line of Lot Eighteen gen (18
)
said Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said
point being thirty-one (31) feet westerly of
the northwesterly corner of said Lot Eighteen (18) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a point
on the northerly line of Lot Twenty (20) , said
Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said point
being thirty-one (31) feet westerly of the north-
westerly corner of said Lot Twenty (20) ;
Thence northerly in a straight line to a point
on the northerly line of Lot Twenty-three (23) ,
said Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said
point being thirty-one (31) feet westerly of the
northwesterly corner of said Lot Twenty-three (23) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a point
on the northerly line of Lot Twenty-six (26) , said
Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said point being
thirty-five (35) feet westerly of the northwesterly
corner of said Lot Twenty-six (26) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a point
on the northerly line of Lot Twenty-eight (28 ) ,
said 3lock Three (3) , produced westerly, said point
being forty (40) feet westerly of the northwesterly
corner of Lot Twenty-eight (28) ;

Thence northerly along a straight line to a point
on the northerly line of Lot Thirty (30, said
Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said point
being forty-six (46) feet westerly of the north-
westerly corner of said Lot Thirty (30) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to
a point on the northerly line of Lot Thirty-four
(34) , said Block Three (3) , produced westerly,
said point being forty-six (4b) feet westerly
of the northwesterly corner of said Lot Thirty-
four (34) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a point on
the northerly line of Lot Thirty-six (3b) , said
Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said point
being forty-six (4.6) feet westerly of the north-
westerly corner of said Lot Thirty-six (36) ;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a
point on the northerly line of Lot Thirty-nine
(39) , said Block Three (3) , produced westerly,
said point being forty-six (4.6) feet westerly
of the northwesterly corner of said Lot Thirty-
nine;
Thence northerly along a straight line to a
point on the northerly line of Lot Forty (4.0) ,
said Block Three (3) , produced westerly, said
point being forty-six (4.6) feet westerly of
the northwesterly corner of said Lot Forty
(40) ;
Thence easterly along the northerly line of
said Lot Forty (4.0) , produced westerly a distance
of forty-six (46) feet to the northwesterly cor-
ner of said Lot Forty (40) ;
As said Waterway, Lots , Block and Subdivision
are shown on a Plat recorded in Plat Book
Twenty-eight (28 ) , at Page Twenty-eight (28)
of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
Which bulkhead the City Council hereby deems to
be of special benefit to the following described
property;
Lot Eleven (11) , Block Three (3) , to Lot Forty
(4.0) , Block Three (3) , inclusive , of the Second
Ocean Front Subdivision according to the Amended
Plat thereof, recorded in Plat Book Twenty-eight
(28) , Page Twenty-eight (28) of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida
And the total cost of said Waterfront Improvement
shall be assessed against the above described
property in proportion to the special benefits
derived.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with
the City Clerk Plans and Specifications of said Improvement and
an estimate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost
of the expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection
and superintendence of the work, the preparation of Plans and
Specifications and Estimates, the printing and publication of
notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds , interest during

construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other
expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings
and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to
be assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assess-
ments and bonds as daterfront Improvement BH-9, and the property
against which assessments therefor may be made for the cost
thereof shall be designated as District BH-9.
