Resolution 6990 RESOLUTION NO. 6990
WHEREAS, there has been submitted to the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, the Certificate of the Inspectors
and Clerk who conducted the Primary Election held August 16, 1949, for
the purpose of selecting candidates for Trustee from Group 2 of
the Employees Retirement System of the City of Miami Beach, in
accordance with the provisions of Resolution No. 6980, as passed and
adopted by the City Council on August 3, 1949, and
WHEREAS, the said City Council has canvassed said returns and
certificate,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of said City
that they hereby adopt the said Certificate as the result of said
Primary Election, and do hereby declare the Trustee from Group 2
elected to the Board of Trustees of the Employees Retirement System
to be as follows:
GROUP 2: DAVID J. CLEARY (Elected by 45 votes out of
a total of 46 votes cast,
being a clear majority at
the Primary Election)
PASSED and ADOPTED this 17th day of August, A. D. 1949.
