Resolution 7007 RESOLUTION NO. 7007
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida,
is considering amending and changing certain of the regulations and
restrictions established and contained in Ordinance No. 289, common-
ly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of the City of Miami Beach, Florida" ,
as hereinafter set forth, to-wit:
To amend the definition of "Pressing Club" contained. in Section
1 of said Ordinance and reading as follows:
"PRESSING CLUB: A business establishment with steam
clothes presses and with not more than one self- con-
tained dry cleaning unit which shall be screened from
the street by enclosures or other suitable means and
which has a capacity not exceeding thirty (30) pounds
of dry clothes and which uses a non-combustible and
non-flamable cleaning fluid . "
so as to read as follows:
"PRESSING CLUB: A business establishment with steam
clothes presses and with not more than one self-
contained dry cleaning unit which shall be screened
from the street by enclosures or other suitable
means and which has a capacity not exceeding thirty
(30) pounds of dry clothes and which uses a non-
combustible and non-flamable cleaning fluid, and the
term "Pressing Club" shall also include laundries
employing semi-automatic washing machines not to ex-
ceed twenty pounds capacity."
AND to amend said ordinance so as to Permit "Retail Bakeries"
in "BA" Business District.
Now, TH'JREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that a public hearing be and is hereby
called to be held on the 19th day of October, A. D. 1949, at
10:00 o'clock A. M. , in the Council Chambers, in the City Hall,
Miami Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Clerk be and he is hereby
directed to give at least fifteen days ' notice of the time, place
and object of said hearing by publishing notice thereof in the Miami
Beach Florida Sun, a newspaper of general circulation in said City
of Miami Beach, in conformity with Section 21 of Ordinance No. 289
of said City.
