18th Street Traffic Pattern Change
COMMISSION
The purpose of this LTC is to advise the Mayor and City Commission that starting on
July 9, 2018 through August 14, 2018, 18th Street will be reduced to one-way only in the
eastbound direction. Westbound lanes will be closed for roadway reconstruction as part of
the Convention Center Project. This work is expected to take approximately one month.
Access to the City Hall parking garage and City Hall loading dock will be maintained at all
times. Motorists will continue to enter 18th Street from Meridian Avenue, however exiting will
be routed eastbound on 18th Street, towards Convention Center Drive (refer to attached
map).
The work has been coordinated with the City's Transportation, Parking and Public Works
Departments, as well as Miami -Dade County Department of Transportation & Public Works.
City staff will continue to keep you informed as work progresses or if there are any required
changes to the traffic pattern in the future. In addition to the traffic coordination effort, the
project's Public Information Officer continues to send out alerts on a regular basis via all of
the City's social media outlets.
