Resolution 7021 RESOLUTION NO. 7021 WHEREAS, under existing conditions , citizens of Miami Beach Florida, and those persons who visit said City, in order to obtain transportation by rail, must go to the ticket offices of the several railroad companies , all of which are located in the City of Miami, or are forced to rely upon the efforts of employees of the various hotels in said City to obtain tickets for such transportation, thus affording opportunity and temptation to speculate in railroad tickets ; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach believes that there is great need for an office, or offices , within the corpor- ate limits of the City of Miami Beach where tickets for railroad trans- portation could be purchased; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Florida East Coast Railway Company and the Seaboard Air Line Railway Company be and they are hereby requested to arrange for and provide a jointly operated office, or separate offices, to be located within the City of Miami Beach, in order that the citizens of, and visitors to, said City may have a reasonably convenient method of obtaining transportation from said Railroad Companies. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is hereby directed to furnish a certified copy of this resolution to the Florida East Coast Railway Company and to the Seaboard Air Line Railway Company.
