Resolution 7093 Resolution No. 7093 WHEREAS, Almighty God, in His infinite widsom, has seen fit to summarily call our late friend and beloved citizen, PAUL WEITZMAN, and WHEREAS, PAUL in his humble and quiet manner did endeavor to benefit all those who came in contact with him; having in his possession a profound depth of appreciation and sensitivity to other people ' s feelings, moods and problems, he became a true friend to many of our citizens; and WHEREAS, he in his professional capacity as a legal advisor possessed a profound passion to serve and help others; his legal ethics always of the highest, never compromising his lofty principles for monetary gain; and WHEREAS, as a public minded citizen he served well the communities in which he lived ; having served as President of Manhattan' s Young Men' s Association, and Worshipful Master in the Radiant Masonic Lodge while living in New York City; and during the last eight years during which time he has made his home amongst us in our city, he has served as an officer in B 'nai B'rith, a Director of the Y. M. H. A. , a member of the Hibiscus Lodge of Masons, a worker in the Federation and Community Chest Drives, and as Chairman of the Housing Commission of the City of Miami Beach; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that we do hereby acknowledge and proclaim that in the passing of our friend, PAUL WEITZMAN, this city and this community have lost a most worthy public servant of sterling character, whose place in our midst will be difficult to fill, and we shall long remember the quiet, courteous and dignified manner in which he carried out his duties; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that we do herewith express to his beloved wife and loved ones our deepest sympathy in this their hour of bereavement and as a token of this expression the City Clerk is hereby instructed to see that a suitably embossed copy of this resolution is presented to the bereaved ones.
