The Parks and Recreation Department cordially invites you to attend the Winter Youth
Sports Expo on Sunday, February 9, 2003, from 1:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. at: Flamingo Park per

The Youth Sports Expo will mark the beginning of our Winter 2003 Miami Beach
Recreation Division Athletics Program, with registration for Intramural T-ball, Coach Pitch,
Baseball, 5 on 5 Full Court Boys and Girls Indoor Basketball, Soccer Clinic and Teen Flag
Football. Florida International University Baseball Coach Danny Price and team members
will be present and will provide free instructional clinics.
In addition to program registration and the instructional clinics, there will be free food and
fun for the entire family, including music, amusements (Moonwalk, slides, rock climbing
wall) and a variety of games for everyone.
Additionally the North Shore/Normandy Isle Optimist Club will be registering for a football
clinic on March 8th and 9th at Flamingo Park which they will be co-sponsoring with the
Miami Beach Recreation Division. The Clinic will be open to children from second through
ninth grade that reside on the beach or attend a Miami Beach School. Please contact Brett
Goetz at: (305) 692-8081 for further details or stop by the Optimist booth at the Sports
Expo on February 9th to sign up.
Your participation, as well as that of your children, family and friends, is greatly welcomed.
