WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT WW-87 DISTRICT WW-87
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its inten-
tion to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-87 Both sides of West Avenue from Fifth Street to Seven-
teenth Street, and both sides of Seventeenth Street
from West Avenue to Alton Road.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of orna-
mental posts and lamps at approximately two hundred
(200) feet apart on each side with underground con-
nections for lighting.
As said Avenue, Streets and Road are shown on Plats
recorded in Plat Book Twenty-one (21) 1 Page Eighty-
three (83) , Plat Book Twenty-eight (2d) , Page Thirty-
four (34) , Plat Book Seven (7) , Page One Hundred
Sixty (160) , Plat Book Six (6) , Page Twelve (12) ,
Plat Book Nine (9) , Page One Hundred Ten (110), Plat
Book Thirty-four (34) , Page Twenty-five (25) , Plat
Book Sixteen (16) , Page One (1) , Plat Book Six (6) ,
Page Five (5) , Plat Book Six (6) , Page One Hundred
Sixty-six (166) , Plat Book Six (6) , Page One Hundred

of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an esti-
mate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and super-
intendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications
and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and proceed-
ings, the preparation of bonds, interest during construction, legal
services, abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses necessary and
proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided for;
and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of
abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-87 and is
described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on West
Avenue and lying between Fifth Street and Seventeenth
Street, and
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Seven-
teenth Street and lying between West Avenue and
Alton Road.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property
the City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such por-
tion of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost
as the length of the street intersections bears to the total street
frontage within the district.

This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-87, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be
designated as District WW-87.
