SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
SK-140 A five (5) foot concrete sidewalk on the east side
of Garden Avenue from a point at or near the northerly
line of West Thirty-ninth (W. 39th) Street to a point
at or near the southerly line of West Fortieth
(W. 40th) Street.
As said North Meridian Avenue, West Thirty-ninth
(W. 39th) Street and West Fortieth (W. 40th) Street
are shown on the amended Plat of Garden Subdivision
recorded in Plat Book Thirty-one (31) at Page Nine
(9) of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence of
the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates,
the printing and publication of notices and proceedings, the preparation
of bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. ,
and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings
and work herein provided for ; and the estimated amount to be assessed
against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District SK-140 and is described
as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
Garden Avenue and lying on the east side of said
street between the northerly line of West Thirty-
ninth (W. 39th) Street and the southerly line of
West Fortieth (W. 40th) Street.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and
bonds as Sidewalk Improvement SK-140, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District SK-140.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of April, A. D. 1950.
