Resolution 7163 RESOLUTION NO. 7163
WHEREAS, one BANE STOCK has heretofore brought suit
against the City of Miami Beach for the recovery of damages on
account of injuries alleged to have been sustained because of a
defective sidewalk, and
WHEREAS, the firm of Dixon, DeJarnette ,x Bradford has
heretofore been employed by the City of Miami Beach to defend said
suit which is now pending and ready for trial, and
WHEREAS, said firm of attorneys has recommended the
payment by the City of the sum of 01,000.00 in full settlement of
said suit and the claims involved therein, and
WHEREAS the City Council deems it to be to the best in-
terest of said City to settle said suit and said claims as recommended,
NOW2 THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the City Manager be and he is
hereby authorized to pay to said Bane Stock, or his attorney of record,
out of funds of said City available for such purpose, the sum of
$1,000.00 in full settlement of all claims now or heretofore held by
said Bane Stock against said City.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 19th day of April, A.D. 1950.
