Resolution 7175 RESOLUTION NO. 7175
WHEREAS, the attraction of Winter and Summer visitors to
the City of Miami Beach is of the essence of the economic exis-
tence of the City of Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, the amount and sources of the funds available to the
City for expenditures for the purpose of publicity and advertising
is limited by law, and
WHEREAS, the most advantageous and beneficial expenditures of
such limited funds requires careful and unhurried investigation,
study and deliberation, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore, in the best interest
of its citizens and taxpayers, and for its assistance in such in-
vestigations and deliberations, appointed a Public Relations Advisory
Committee to examine, study, report upon and make recommendations
as to requests by individuals or groups for the expenditures of such
funds for specific projects and purposes ,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLV7D by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach Florida, that the City Council shall not authorize
the appropriation or expenditure of any money from publicity funds
for any specific project or purpose prior to the receipt and con-
sideration by it of a written report and recommendation as to such
appropriation or expenditure from the said Public Relations Advisory
Committee.
