SUBJECT : Update on Closed Captioning Upgr es in Commission Chambers
The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to share an update on the upgrades to the closed
captioning equipment in the commission chambers.
All upgrades have been completed and software and hardware have been installed. Both the IT
Department and the Marketing and Communications Department have done tests on the new
equipment everything is working well.
The new upgrades have significantly addressed the ongoing delays in the captioning. During the
tests we only saw a delay of seconds instead of the prolonged delays we had previously
experienced.
I would like to thank the members of the disability committee for their diligence in bringing this to
our attention. We are pleased we were able to address their concerns and rectify this issue .
