The purpose of this Letter to Commission is to share the Department of Marketing and
Communication 's complete media campaign recap for the city's Fire on the Fourth event. This
year, we explored a variety of media channels to promote our annual Independence Day
celebration and made a few enhancements to the programming . As a result , we experienced
over 12 million impressions , an increase of 4 million impressions versus the prior year.
Fire on The Fourth was a lso picked as the #1 place to watch 4 th of July fireworks by the Miami
New Times .
