Resolution 7241 RESOLUTION NO., 721+1
WHEREAS, in the interest of the public health and.
safety, the City of Miami Beach, Florida, deems it to be necessary
for the City to investigate the existing sewage disposal system
of the City and to plan, and if necessary, to alter, modify or
reconstruct the existing system to achieve greater efficiency in
the disposal of the sewage cif' the City, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it desirable and ad-
vantageous to the City to engage the mrvices of competent and
experienced sewage disposal engineers to assist the City Engineer
in such project, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined it to to the
best interest of the City that the engineering firm of Malcolm
Pirnie Engineers of New York City be engaged for the design of such
sewage disposal facilities as may be necessary, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised of and is
familiar with the terms and provisions of that certain proposed
contract for the services of Malcolm Pirnie Engineers and deems it
to be to the best interest of the City that such contract be entered
into,
NOW, TH 'R' FORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that' the Mayor and the City Clerk be
and they are hereby authorized to execute and enter into the said
contract for and on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, for
the employment of the Engineering Firm of Malcolm Pirnie Engineers
for the purposes and objects set forth in this resolution.
