A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, COMMENDING MESSRS.
GEORGE J. BERTMAN, S. Z. BENNETT AND ROBERT
M. DAVIDSON FOR THEIR HELP AND COOPERATION
GIVEN THE CITY TAX ASSESSOR AND THIS BODY.
WHEREAS, this Body deemed it to the best interest of the
taxpayers of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that a committee
of recognized realtors, representing the Miami Beach Realty
Board, be requested to appraise real estate in the City and re-
port on the same and thereby assist the Tax Assessor in arriving
at the proper evaluation of real property for assessment pur-
poses , and
WHEREAS, Realtors George J. Bertman, S. Z. Bennett and
Robert M. Davidson were duly selected and appointed as such a
committee and said committee did work diligently and faithfully
for a period of over one month, spot-checking and comparing
assessed valuations as fixed by the Tax Assessor, in all sections
of the City, comparing properties similarly zoned in various
sections, and
WHEREAS, as a result of this close cooperation with our City
Assessor, we feel that a much better job of equalization has been
accomplished than has been done in many years,
WE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, do
hereby publicly thank and sincerely commend Messrs. Bertman,
Bennett and Davidson for their very faithful work and for the
satisfactory accomplishment of a very difficult assignment, and
BE IT RESOLVED that suitable copies of this resolution be
prepared and given to each of these three realtors.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of August, A. D. 1950.
