Resolution 7276 RESOLUTION NO. 7276
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that persons who purchase real property
in the City are, in many instances, unfamiliar with the provi-
sions of the Zoning Ordinance of the City, and
WHEREAS, certain hardships, financial difficulties, and un-
intended violations of the Zoning Ordinance have resulted from
the purchase and use of property for purposes and uses not per-
mitted by the Zoning Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is advised that Realtors, Real
Estate Salesmen and Attorneys participating in transactions involving
the purchase of real property are in the best position to advise
potential purchasers of the applicable zoning ordinance restrictions
and requirements, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been assured of the desires of
the professions abovementioned to cooperate, in the public interest,
to alleviate the hardships and difficulties above referred to, and
to maintain the zoning standards of the City,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that all Realtors, Real Estate Salesmen,
Attorneys and others participating in any transactions involving
the purchase by a client of any real property in the City of Miami
Beach, be requested, in the public interest, to advise and inform
such potential purchasers of the deed restrictions and the speci-
fic restrictions and limitations of the Zoning Ordinance of the
City of Miami Beach as they are applicable to the property under
consideration, and the uses thereof as contemplated by the pur-
chaser.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is here-
by directed to transmit copies of this resolution to all repre-
sentative organizations and associations of Realtors, Real Estate
Salesmen and Attorneys in Dade County, Florida.
