RESOLUTION NO. 7288
WHEREAS, M. C. McGLYNN has heretofore entered into an
agreement dated the 21st day of September, A. D. 1950, with Walter
E. Wilson and Mildred V. Wilson, his wife, by the terms of which
the said M. C . McGlynn agrees to purchase, and Walter E. Wilson
and wife agree to sell for the sum of Eight Thousand Dollars (4,000.00)
(less the sum of 3800.00 heretofore deposited by the said M. C. McGlynn
in escrow with A. W. Hoover, President of the National Title Company
of Miami) , that certain parcel of land situate, lying and being in
Miami Beach, Dade County, Florida, to-wit :
Lot 10 of Block 5 of HARDING TOJNSITE,
according to the Plat thereof recorded
in Plat Book 34, at page 4, of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
AND WH�HEAS, said M. C. McGlynn has offered to assign all
of his right, title and interest in and to the said agreement to the
City of Miami Beach for the sum of $800.00, and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest
of the City to acquire said lands for street construction and widening
purposes, and
WHEREAS, the City Council is familiar with the terms of the agree-
ment between M.C. McGlynn and Walter E. Wilson and wife heretofore re-
ferred to,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that the said offer of R. C. McGlynn be and
the same is hereby accepted and the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorizedand directed to pay to said M. C . McGlynn the sum of $800.00
out of funds available for such purpose.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is hereby
authorized and directed to close the transaction with the said ':falter
E. :lilson and wife, in accordance with the terms of said agreement as-
signed to the City as aforesaid, and the officers of the City authorized
to make disbursements , be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to disburse the monies necessary to consummate the transaction contem-
plated by said agreement, out of funds available for such °murpose, as
and when the title shall have been approved by the City Attorney.
