Resolution 7364 RESOLUTION NO. 7364
WHEREAS, CASPER RAPKIN and SOPHIE RAPKIN, his wife,
have offered to sell to the City of Miami Beach for the sum of
., 4,950.00, that certain parcel of land situate in Miami Beach,
Florida, described as follows, to-wit:
That certain parcel of land bounded as follows :
Beginning at the southwesterly corner of Lot
Fifty-three (53) of Block Seven (7) of the
SECOND OCEAN FRONT SUBDIVISION, as shown on
the iimended Plat thereof, recorded in Plat
Book 28, at nage 28, of the Public Records
of Dade County, Florida; thence run north-
erly along the easterly line of Indian Creek
Drive a distance of 60.27 feet to the north-
westerly corner of said Lot Fifty-three ( 53) ;
thence run easterly along the northerly line
of said Lot Fifty-three (53) a distance of
11.5 feet; thence run southerly in a straight
line to a point on the southerly line of said
Lot Fifty-three (53) , said point being 14. 5
feet easterly from the southwesterly corner
of said Lot vif ty-three (53) ; thence run
westerly to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be to the best interest of said City to acquire
said lands at said price for the purpose of widening Indian Creek
Drive, a public highway in said City, and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared by the City Attorney
by the terms of which the said CASPER RAPKIN and SOPHIE RAPKIN, his wife,
agree to sell and the City agrees to purchase said land, the City
Council being familiar with the terms of said agreement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT R SOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized to execute the said agreement in the name
of and on behalf of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager be and he is
hereby authorized to close the transaction contemplated by said agree-
ment according to the terms thereof, as and when the title shall have
been approved by the City Attorney; and the disbursing officers of
the City be and they are hereby authorized to pay out of the funds of
the City, available for such purpose, the amount necessary to comply
with the terms of said agreement.
