WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLV??D BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention to
proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-99 Both sides of Garden Avenue from West Thirty-ninth (39th) Street
to West Forty-first (41st) Street, and both sides of North Meridian
Avenue from West Thirty-seventh (37th) Street to West Forty-first
. (41st) Street.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of ornamental posts
and lamps at approximately one hundred sixty (160) feet apart on
each side with underground connections for lighting.
As said Avenues and Streets are shown on Plats recorded in Plat
Book Thirty-four (34) , gage Ninety-two (92) , and Plat Book Thirty-
one (31) , Page Nine (9) of the Public Records of Dade County,
Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the City
Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the
cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of prelim-
inary and other surveys , the inspection and superintendence of the work,
the preparation of plans and specifications and esti :ates, the printing
and publication of notices and proceedings, the preparation of bonds, in-
terest during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. , and any other
expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein
provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front
foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of such
improvement is hereby designated as District VW-99, and is described as
follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on Garden Avenue and
lying between West Thirty-ninth (39th) Street and Vest Forty-first
(41st) Street, and all of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
North Meridian Avenue and lying between Vest Thirty-seventh (37th)
Street and West Forty-first (41st ) Street
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the City
Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion of the
total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the length of
the street intersections bears to the total street frontage within the
district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings , assessments and
bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-99, and the property against which assess-
ments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated as
District WW-99.
