RESOLUTION NO. 7+59
WHEAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, has been advised that through the efforts of Claude
D. Ritter, Jr. , Auditorium aanager, the National Youth Theatre
has agreed to present the children' s play "Merlin the Magician"
in the Miami Beach Municipal Auditorium on the 5th day of April,
1951, with an option to the City for an additional performance,
if desired, and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared setting forth the
terms and conditions under which said play will be presented,
said agreement to be entered into by and between the City and
the National Youth Theatre of New York, and dated the 21st day
of February, 1951, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has been advised of and is fa-
miliar with the terms and provisions of said agreement , and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be to the best interest
of the City to secure said presentation in the Miami Beach Municipal
Auditorium under • the terms and provisions as set forth in said
agreement,
NOVI, THEREFORE, EE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized and directed to execute the above-
described agreement on behalf of the City of Miami Beach, and that
the Auditorium Manager is hereby authorized and directed to put
and carry into effect the terms and provisions undertaken therein
by the City.
