WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WW-100 WW-100
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forthits intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-10Q Both sides of Michigan Avenue from Second (2nd)
Street to Fifth (5th) Street.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system
of ornamental posts and lamps at approximately
two hundred (200) feet apart on each side with
underground connections for lighting.
As said Avenue and Streets are shown on Plats
recorded in Plat Book Two (2) , Page Eighty-one (81) ,
and Plat Book Nine (9) , Page Ten (10) of the
Public Records of Dade County, Florida, and as
said Michigan Avenue is named and designated in
Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an e stimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys , the inspection and superintendence of
the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the
printing aid.ipublication of notices aid proceedings, the preparation of
bonds, interest during construction, legal servicesr abstracts, etc. ,
and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the proceed-
ings andwork herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed
against each front foot of abutting property.

The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-100, and is described
as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
Michigan Avehue and lying between Second (2nd)
Street and Fifth (5th) Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the City
Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion of the
total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the length
of the street intersections bears to the total street f rontao'e within
the district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments and
bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-100, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall he designated
as District WW-100.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 19th DAY OF March A.D. 1951.
