RESOLUTION NO. 71+95
WHEREAS, Rosa Kaufmann and Jacob Kaufmann, her husband,
have offered to sell to the City of Miami Beach for the sum of
ti 32,000.00 that certain parcel of land situate in Miami Beach,
- Florida, described as follows, to-wit:
Lot 23 in Block 4 of ORCHARD SUBDIVISION
No. +, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 25, at page 30, of
the Public Records of Dade County, Forida,
together with the buildings and appurtenanc6s
thereon;
provided, however, that no furnishings or fixtures located therein
shall be included in such sale.
AND 1HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, deems it to be to the best interest of said City to ac-
quire said lands at said price for the purpose of off-street parking
of automobiles, and
WHEREAS, an agreement has been prepared by the City Attorney
by the terms of which the said Rosa Kaufmann and Jacob Kaufmann, her
husband, agre to sell and the City of Miami Beach agrees to purchase
said land, the City Council being familiar with the terms of said
agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City- Council of the City
of Miami Beach, Florida , that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and
they are hereby authorized to execute the said agreement in the name
of and on behalf of said City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Iianager be and he is
hereby authorized to close the transaction contemplated by said agree-
ment according to the terms thereof, as and when the title shall
have been approved by the City At;orney; and the disbursing officers
of the City be and they are hereby authorized to pay out of the funds
of the City available for such purpose the amount necessary to comply
with the terms of said agreement.
