Resolution 7629 r RESOLUTION N0. 7629 BE IT R:2,SOLVED by the City Council of she City of • Hiami Beach, Florida, that it is deemed to be to the best interest of said City to secure the passage, at the 1751 Session of the State Legislature, of a bill entitled: "AN ACT AMENDING SECTIONS 8, 11, 22 21+ 25 and 1+5 of CHAPTER 7672 LA.'S OFFLORIDA, ACTS OF 1917, ENTITLED: ?IAN ACT TO ABOLISH THE PRESENT MUNICIPAL GOVERNMENT OF THE TOWN OF MIAMI BEACH, INT E COUNTY OF DADE AND STATE OF FLORIDA, AHD TO ESTABLISH, ORGANIZE AND INCORPORATE A CITY GOVERNMENT FOR THE CITY 1 OF MIAMI BEACH, TO DEFINE ITS TERRITORIAL BOUNDARIES, TO PRESCRIBE ITS JURISDICTION POWERS AND PRIVILEGES, AND FOR THE EXERCISE OF SAME, ANL) TO AUTHORIZE THE IMPOSITION OF PENALTIES FOR THE VIOLATION OF ITS ORDINANCES"; AND ADDING TO SAID CHAPTER A NEW SECTION TO BE DESIGNATED SECTION 27, RELATING TO CERTIFICATES OF PUBLIC COhTVENIENCE AND NECESSITY FOR TAXI- CABS, BUSES AND SIMILAR MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION. " BE IT FURTH;_t RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution and of said Bill be furnished to the Honorable R. B. Gautier, Jr. , the Honorable Robert L. Floyd, the Honorable George Okell, and the Honorable Dante D. Fascell, Members of the Florida Legislature from Dade County, and that they each be respectfully requested • to see that said Bill be introduced and Passed at said Session.
