Resolution 7630 T .. RESOLUTION NO. 7630 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Peach, Florida, that it is deemed to be to the best interest of said City to secure the passage, at the 1951 Session of ,the State Lenislature, of a bill entitled: "AN ACT AMENDING CHAPTER 18696, LAWS OF FLORIDA, SPECIAL ACTS OF 1937, ENTITLED: "AN ACT CREATING A CIVIL SERVICE SYSTEM FOR CERTAIN OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA; CREATING A DEPARTMENT OF PERSONNEL, DEFINING ITS MEMBERSHIP, POWERS AND DUTIES; DESIGNATING THE OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES WHO ARE WITHIN TkiE TERMS OF SAID ACT; DEFINING THE CERTAIN TERMS OF SAID ACT; PROVIDING FOR APPOINTMENTS, PROMOTIONS, SUSPENSIONS, REDUCTIONS AND REMOVALS OF OFFICERS AND EMPLOYEES; PROVIDING FOR THE STATUS OF OFFI- CERS AND EMPLOYEES HOLDING POSITIONS WHEN THIS ACT TAKES EFFECT; PROVIDING FOR A REFERENDUM WHEN SAID ACT SHALL TAKE EFFECT AND OTHER MAT- TERS RELATING THERETO" ; PROVIDING FOR A CHANGE IN ThE METHOD AND PROCEDURE OF ADMINISTERING THE CIVIL SERVICE SYSTEM OF THE CITY." Be, IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this Resolution and of said Bill be furnished to the honorable R. B. Gautier, Jr. , the Honorable Hobert L. Floyd, the Honorat;le George Okell, and • the Honorable Dante B. Fascell, Members of the Florida LeRis- la.ture from Dade County, and that they each be respectfully requested to see that said bill be introduced and passed at said. Session.
