Resolution 7723 RESOLUTION NO. 7723
WHEREAS, Jerry Moss by virtue of his masterful
achievement in winning the National Junior Singles
Championship has brought additional fame and renown
to Miami Beach, and
WHEREAS, though faced with seeming insurmountable
obstacles, Jerry Moss was able to overcome adversity
and attain this highest honor in junior tennis
competition, and
WHEREAS, this accomplishment will lend additional
prestige to our efforts to have this city acclaimed
as the tennis center of the Nation,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that we, the members
of the City Council of Miami Beach, in meeting
assembled this 8th day of August, 1951, express our
sincere congratulations to Jerry Moss for his feat
in winning the National Junior Singles Crown, and
tender him our best wishes for continued success, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this
Resolution be presented to Jerry Moss as tangible
evidence of our true regard.
