Resolution 7726 RESOLUTION I3O. 7726 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA: SECTION 1; That pursuant to the provisions of Section 6.01.01.02 of Ordinance No. 845, the members of Group 3 , as specified in said Ordinance, are hereby classified and determined as follows: GROUP 1 ADAMS, J. YOSKOWITZ, SOL XANTEN, JOHN ZUMSTEG, BERNARD SECTION 2: That, whereas, the term of Frank Hoban, a Trustee of the City of Miami Beach Employees Retirement System, as provided by Ordinance No. 8+5, and representing employees in Group 3, expires this year; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Miami Beach, Florida, that a Primary and an Election are hereby called for the purpose of eecting a Trustee from Group 3, to succeed Frank Hoban, to serve for a term of three years, or until his successor is duly elected and qualified, said Primary to be held between the hours of 9:00 A. M. , and 7:00 P. M. , on Tuesday, August 21, 1951 and said election to be held between the hours of 9: 00 A. M. and 7:00 P. M. , on Tuesday, August 28, 1951. SECTION 1: That the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to notify the members of Group 3 of said Primary and Election, by posting a notice stating the time, place and purpose of said Primary and Election, in a conspicuous place in each department of the City wherein members of Group 3 are employed. SECTION 4: That for the purpose of holding and conducting said Primary and Election, the following members are hereby appointed to serve as Clerk and Inspectors: CLERK: E. C. Ambrose, Jr. INSPECTORS: Tom Riley William R. Ruppel SECTION 5: That the City Clerk be and he is hereby appointed as Supervisor of said Primary and Election, and is hereby further instructed to provide ballots and all necessary paraphernalia to the Inspectors and Clerk hereinabove appointed, to enable them to properly hold and conduct said Primary and Election; and SECTION 6: That the two members receiving the highest number of votes cast at the Primary on August 21 1951 shall be the only candidates for Trustee at the Election on .lugust 2� 1951 , provided, however, that should any member receive a majority of the votes cast at the Primary, he will be thereby declared elected as a Trustee and the Election as herein planned shall be omitted. SECTION 7: That immediately after the polls are closed in the Primary and inthe Election herein called, the Inspectors and Clerk shall proceed to open the ballot box and count the ballots cast, tabulating the result, and upon completion of said count they shall promptly certify the result of said Primary or Election, as the case may be, to the City Clerk in duplicate, on forms to be supplied them by the said City Clerk; and SECTION 8: That the City Clerk be and he is hereby instructed to present to the City Council, at their first meeting following the holding of said Election, the certificate of said Inspectors and Clerk, as to the result of said Election, whereupon this Body shall declare the Trustee elected as indicated in said certificate.
