SIDEWALK IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made ; the City council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
Sit-153 A five (5) foot ccncrete sidewalk on both sides
of Hawthorne Avenue from a point at or near the
southerly line of Block Seventeen (17 ) , Biscayne
Point on the westerly side and a point at or near
the southerly corner of Block Twenty-two (22) ,
Resubdivision of Lots Thirty-eight ( 38) and
Thirty-nine (39) of Block Ten ( 10) of Biscayne
Beach Subdivision on the easterly side, to Eighty-
sixth (86th) Street.
As said Avenue, Blocks, Street and Subdivision
are shown on Plats recorded in Plat Book Forty-
four (y1 ) , Page Sixty-seven ( 67 ) ; Plat Book Forty-
seven 47 ) , Page Nineteen ( 19) and Page One hundred
Three (103) ; Plat Book Forty-eight (48 ) , Page
Fifty-three (53) and Page Sixty-five ( 65) ; Plat
Book Forty-six (4b) , Page Thirty-nine ( 39) ; Plat
Book Twenty-six (26) , Page Sixty-three (63) ; and
Plat Book Fourteen ( 1Lk) , Page Thirty-five (35) of
the Public records of Dade County, Florida, and as
said Hawthorne Avenue is named and designated in
Ordinance No. 232.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and superintendence of
the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates, the
printing and publication of notices and proceedings, the preparation of
bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts, etc. ,
and any other expenses necessary and Proper in conducting the proceedings
and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to be assessed
against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated a s District SK-153, and is described
as follows:
All of the lots or p::.rcels of land abutting on Haw-
thorne Avenue and lying between Seventy-seventh (77 )
Street and Eighty-sixth (86) Street .
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Sidewalk Improvement SK-153, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District SK-153.
PASSED AND ADOPTED THIS 10th DAY OF August, A.D.1951.
