RESOLUTION NO. 7755
WHEREAS2 the City of Miami Beach needs, for the purpose
of widening Indian Creek Drive, a narrow strip of land off the
• west side of Block "K" of Atlantic Heights Subdivision, and
WHEREAS, immediately south of said Block "IV there is a small
portion of the public highway which has never been paved and which
is not needed for public street purposes, and
WHEREAS, LONSDALE B. GR *IT and others who are the owners of
said Block "K" have offered to convey to the City the said narrow strip
of land off the west side of Block "K" if the City will vacate and
abandon by an appropriate resolution the said small portion of the
public highway not now being used and will execute and deliver a quit-
claim deed to the said Lonsdale B. Green and others, conveying the
small portion of the public highway and if the City will pay the sum
of . 75.00 to the Attorney for said owners for his services in the matter
and pay to the said owners the sum of ;.;20.00 to defray the expense of
removing certain sprinkler heads, and
WH REAS, the City Attorney has prepared an agreement embodying
the terms of the transaction, the City Council being familiar with
the terms of said agreement,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RSOLVED by the City Council of the City
of I_iami Beach, Florida, that the Mayor and the City Clerk be and they
are hereby authorized and directed to execute for and on behalf of
said City, said agreement, and thereafter to execute all papers necessary
to carry out the terms of said agreement.
BE IT FURTH- RESOLVED that the disbursing officers of the
City be and they are hereby authorized and directed to disburse the
monies re,.luired to be disbursed under the terms of said agreement from
funds of the City available for said purpose.
