WHITEWAY IMPROVEr'ENT WW-103 DISTRICT WW-103
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its inten-
tion to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-103 Both sides of Seventy-third (73rd) Street, Seventy-
fourth (74th) Street and Seventy-fifth (75th) Street,
from Collins Avenue to Ocean Terrace .
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system of
ornamental posts and lamps at or near the mid point
between Collins Avenue and Ocean Terrace with under-
ground connections for lighting.
As said Streets, Avenue and Terrace are shown on
Plat recorded in Plat Book Thirty-four (34) , Page
Four (4) of the Public Records of Dade County, Florida,
and as said Streets, Avenue and Terrace are named
and designated in Ordinance No. 232 .
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
City Clerk , plans and specifications of said improvement and an esti-
mate of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the
expenses of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection and super-
intendence of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications
and estimates, the printing and publication of notices and proceedings,
the preparation of bonds, interest during construction, legal services,
abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses necessry and proper in con-
ducting the proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated
amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost
of such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-103 and is
described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
Seventy-third (73rd) Street, Seventy-fourth (74th)
Street and Seventy-fifth (75th) Street and lying
between Collins Avenue and Ocean Terrace.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the
City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion
of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as
the length of the street intersections bears to the total street
frontage within the district.
This improvement shall be designated in all proceedings, assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-103, and the property against
which assessments therefor may be made ferthe cost thereof shall be
designated as District WW-103.
PASSED and ADOPTED this 5th day of September, A.D. 1951.
