WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT
WW-111 WW-111
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH,
FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its inten-
tion to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
VW-111 Both sides of Lenox Avenue, Michigan Avenue and
Jefferson Avenue from Lincoln Road to Seventeenth
(17th) Street.
To be improved with a whiteway lighting system
of ornamental posts and lamps at approximately
one hundred eighty (180) feet apart on each side
with underground connections for lighting.
As said Avenues, Road and Street are shown on
Plats recorded in Plat Look Six (6) , Pages Five (5) ,
Twenty-six (26) , andTwenty-nine (29 ) of the Public
Records of Dade County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the
CityClerk, plans and specifications of saidimprovement and an estimate
of the cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses
of preliminary and other surveys, the inspection andsuperintendence
of the work, the preparation of plans and specifications and estimates ,
the printing and publication of notices and proceedings, the prepara-
tion of bonds, interest during construction, legal services, abstracts,
etc. , and any other expenses necessary and proper in conducting the
proceedings and work herein provided for; and the estimated amount to
be assessed acainst each front foot of abutting property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of
such improvement is hereby designated as District WW-111, and is
described as follows:
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on
Lenox Avenue, Michigan Avenue and Jefferson
Avenue, and lying b etween Lincoln Road and
Seventeenth (17th) Street.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property, the
City Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion
of the total cost as shall bear the same ratio to the total cost as the
length of the street intersection bears to the total street frontage
within the district.
This Improvement shall be designated in all proceedings , assessments
and bonds as Whiteway Improvement WW-111, and the property against which
assessments therefor may be made for the cost thereof shall be designated
as District WW-111.
