Resolution 7872 RESOLUTION NO. 7872
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Miami Beach,
Florida, is considering amending and changing certain of the
regulations and restrictions established and contained in
Ordinance No. 289, commonly known as the "Zoning Ordinance of
the City of Miami Beach, Florida", as hereinafter set forth,
to-wit :
To amend said ordinance so as to permit the construction
of signs over and upon such marquees as have been or which may
hereafter be constructed for the protection of vehicular drive-
ways under the authority contained in Sub-paragraph "e" of
Sub-section 3 of Section 17 of said ordinance, provided that
such signs shall not exceed 30 inches in height and that the
height thereof shall not be included in computing the maximum
over-all heights of such marquees;
AND
To amend said ordinance so as to place in "BB" Business
District the easterly one-half of Block Twenty-four (24) of
OCEAN BEACH ADDITION NO. 3, according to the Plat thereof,
recorded in Plat Book 2, at page 81, of the Public Records of
Dade County, Florida.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Miami Beach, Florida, that a public hearing be and is
hereby called to be held on the 21st day of December, A. D. 1951,
at 10:00 otclock A. M. , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall,
Miami Beach, Florida, for the consideration of said amendments.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be and he is
hereby directed to give at least fifteen days ' notice of the time,
place and object of said hearing by publishing notice thereof in
the Florida Sun, a newspaper of general circulation in said City
of Miami Beach, Florida, in conformity with Section 21 of
Ordinance No . 289 of said City.
