A RESOLUTION OF THE MAYOR AND CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH
TO ACCEPT DONATIONS AND SPONSORSHIPS FROM SILVA
INTERNATIONAL INVESTMENT HOLDINGS, ESTEFAN ENTERPRISES,
AND STEWART & SHELDON REALTORS, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$3,750, TO SUPPORT THE CITY'S PARKS AND RECREATION
DEPARTMENT'S YOUTH TRAVEL SOCCER LEAGUE; AND, FURTHER,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER, OR HIS DESIGNEE, TO MAKE SUCH
EXPENDITURES AND /OR REIMBURSEMENTS CONSISTENT WITH THE
AFORESTATED PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, each year, the City of Miami Beach's (the "City ") Parks and Recreation
Department coordinates a Youth Travel Soccer League; and
WHEREAS, the City's Youth Travel Soccer League recently traveled to compete in the
US Youth Soccer Southern Regionals Tourmanment in Greensboro, North Carolina (the
"Tournament "); and
WHEREAS, the City's Youth Travel Soccer League advanced to the Tournament, as the
representative for the state of Florida, after finishing 3rd in the'Florida State Cup; and
WHEREAS, the City's Parks and Recreation Department received donations and
sponsorships from Silva International Investment Holdings, Estefan Enterprises, and Stewart &
Sheldon Realtors, in the total amount of $3,750, to support the Youth Travel Soccer League's
lodging and other travel expenses during their trip to compete in Greensboro, North Carolina;
and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the approval and acceptance of the
donations and sponsorships, in the total amount of $3,750, from the above -named sponsors to
support the Youth Travel Soccer League's lodging and other travel expenses during their trip to
compete in Greensboro, North Carolina; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends that the City Commission authorize the
City Manager, or his designee, to make any necessary reimbursements and /or expenditures of
the aforestated donations, in furtherance of, and consistent with, the aforestated purpose.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT DULY RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY
COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA, that the Mayor and City
Commission hereby authorize the City of Miami Beach to accept donations and sponsorships
from Silva International Investment Holdings, Estefan Enterprises, and Stewart & Sheldon
Realtors, in the total amount of $3,750, to support the City's Parks and Recreation Department's
Youth Travel Soccer League; and, further, authorize the City Manager, or his designee, to make
such expenditures and /or reimbursements consistent with the aforestated purpose.

ANALYSIS
Each year, the City of Miami Beach's (the "City ") Parks and Recreation Department coordinates a
