SUBJECT: Evaluation Committee Relative to Request for Proposals (RFP) No. 2018-196-KB, for
Design/Build Services for Canopy at North Beach Bandshell
The purpose of this LTC is to update the Mayor and City Commission on the status of Request for
Proposals (RFP) No. 2018-196-KB, which seeks to establish an agreement with a qualified firm for
design/build services for canopy at North Beach Bandshell.
The City received a proposal pursuant to this RFP on May 25, 2018.Although, only one(1)proposal
was received, the evaluation committee will review it to assure its compliance with the City's
requirements. The responsive proposals will be reviewed by the Evaluation Committee in
accordance with the criteria established in the RFP.
I am considering appointing the following individuals to serve on the Evaluation Committee:
• Benton Galgay, Director of Operations, The Rhythm Foundation, Inc.
• Mark Milisits, Division Director, Tourism, Culture and Economic Development Office of Real
Estate, City of Miami Beach
• James Murphy, Chief of Urban Planning, Planning Department, City of Miami Beach
• Colette Satchell, Senior Capital Projects Coordinator, Capital Improvement Projects
Office, City of Miami Beach
• Daniel Veitia, Resident Representative from North Beach
I am also considering the following individuals as alternates:
• Cynthia Casanova, Assistant Director, Parks & Recreation Department, City of Miami
Beach
• Adrian Morales, Director, Property Management, City of Miami Beach
• Margueritte Ramos, Resident Representative from North Beach
