WHITEWAY IMPROVEMENT Ww-114.. DISTRICT WW-114
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF MIAMI BEACH, FLORIDA:
That the construction of the following described improvement is hereby
ordered to be made; the City Council hereby setting forth its intention
to proceed under Sections 29 and 30 of the City Charter:
WW-114 Both sides of West Forty-eighth (48th)
Street from Alton Road to West Forty-seventh
(47th) Street, and both sides of West Forty-
seventh (47th) Street from North Meridian
Avenue to Pine Tree Drivo.
To bo improved with a whiteway lighting system
of ornamental posts and lamps at approximately
one hundred eighty (180) feet apart on each
side with underground connections for lighting.
As said Streets, Road, Avenue and Drive are
shown on plats recorded in Plat Book Eight
(8) Page one hundred thirty (130) , Plat Book
Thirty-eight (38 ) , Page Sixty-four (64) , Plat
Book Fourteen (4) , Page Forty-two (42) , and
Plat Book Twenty-seven (27) 0 Page Seventeen
(17) , and Plat Book Nine (9) , Page One Hundred
fourteen (11 4) of the Public Records of Dade
County, Florida.
The City Engineer is hereby directed to prepare and to file with the City
Clerk, plans and specifications of said improvement and an estimate of the
cost thereof, including an estimate of the cost of the expenses of preliminary
and other surveys , the inspection and superintendence of the work, the pre-
paration of plans and specifications and estimates, the printing and publica-
tion of notices and proceedings , the preparation of bonds, interest during
construction, legal services , abstracts, etc. , and any other expenses nec-
essary and proper in conducting the proceedings and work herein provided for;
and the estimated amount to be assessed against each front foot of abutting
property.
The property against which assessments are to be made for the cost of such
improvement is hereby designated as District WW-114, and is described as
follows :
All of the lots or parcels of land abutting on West Forty-
eighth (48th ) Street and lying between Alton Road and West
Forty-seventh (47th) Street , and all of the lots or parcels
of land abutting on West Forty-seventh (47th) Street, and
lying between North Meridian Avenue and Pine Tree Drive.
In estimating the amount to be assessed against abutting property the City
Engineer is hereby directed to apportion to the City such portion of the
total cost as shall bear thrsame ratio to the total cost as the length of
the street intersections bears to the total street frontage within the dis-
trict
